What is a Crushie award?

The CBMA Crushie Awards were designed and manufactured by the same NYC firm that creates the prestigious Emmy Awards and MTV Moonman statue. The Crushie award is sculptured to depict a heavily–tattooed arm crushing a beer can to symbolically represent how breweries across the world are “Crushing It” with their unique and creative beer marketing, design, and branding. CBMA 2021 winners will receive Platinum, Gold, and the newest award, the Silver Global Crushie.

There are 3 Crushie Award levels. The Platinum Crushie is the CBMAs most prestigious nomination. Only the highest ranking entry from each category, in each region, will receive a Platinum Crushie. The CBMAs Gold Crushie is the second most prestigious award for a select number of top-ranking entries that followed Platinum rank. The 2021 CBMAS announced their newest award, the Silver Global Crushie! Global entries will be judged by a hand–selected group of judges from around the world.

How do I purchase a Crushie award?

All teams and individuals involved in the production or creation of winning works can purchase their personalized, engraved trophies in our CBMAs Trophy Shop that launches right after the winners are announced. Winners are notified by email of their win prior to the official Awards Ceremony and Live Broadcast, along with further instructions to order.

Who are the Judges?

All categories are judged by an influential and respected panel of beer, marketing, and design experts hand–selected from across the globe. The CBMAS judging process is a robust, credible, and transparent digital scoring system. Judges donate their time to visually critique a select amount of regional entries.

How do the Judges rank entries?

All CBMA judges use our highly-secure, digital scorecard to provide numeric scores based on each category’s objectives by reading, visually critiquing, and then ranking each entry using the files and supporting materials supplied by the entrant. Judges will be assigned to 1 of our 5 worldwide regions. Global entries will be judged by a hand–selected group of our judges from around the world. All judgements are combined to provide each entry with its total numeric rank. The highest–ranking entries will determine the Platinum and Gold Crushie Award winners for each region, as well as, our new Silver Global Crushie Awards already coined “The Silver Bullet.”

Can Judges enter their own work?

Yes! Judges will not be review their own work, it’s separated prior to judging so you can enter whatever you want on behalf of yourself or client. If a piece that you were involved on did appear, there is an honor–system PASS button. Even if you voted for yourself, and we don’t blame you, your work is great, your one vote averages against the hundreds of other judgements would hardly affect the mean.

Can my company become a sponsor?
